OREM, Utah, July 19 (UPI) -- An Orem, Utah, Republican fundraiser host was arrested and charged with raping four women, including two at the cabin where he hosted political fundraisers.

Gregory Nathan Peterson, 37, was charged Wednesday with seven counts of object rape, three counts of rape, two counts of aggravated kidnapping, one count of forcible sexual abuse, nine counts of second-degree felony forcible sexual abuse, one count of third-degree felony burglary and one count each of assault and sexual battery, The Salt Lake Tribune reported.

Peterson allegedly assaulted four women over more than a year, the most recent of which occurred April 21. Two women claim Peterson kidnapped them, took them to his cabin and raped them.

Peterson has been holding Republican Party fundraisers at his cabin for three years. He hosted a debate at the cabin between two Republican candidates for attorney general this year.

Peterson is expected to appear in court Monday. He could receive life in prison for the rape and kidnapping charges.
