NEW ORLEANS, July 19 (UPI) -- New Orleans rapper B.G. or Baby Gangsta has been sentenced to 14 years in federal prison for gun possession and witness tampering.

B.G., whose real name is Christopher Dorsey, known for his "no-snitch" image was sentenced Wednesday, The (New Orleans) Times-Picayune reported.

The 31-year-old world-touring rap artist was pulled over in 2009 in eastern New Orleans and charged with felony possession of a firearm. He was arrested along with Demounde Pollarde, 20, and Jerod Fedison, 30, after police discovered three guns and loaded magazines in the car. Two of the guns had been reported stolen, along with the car, which had been stolen from an Alamo rental car parking lot.

Pollard confessed ownership of the guns, however, it was later revealed Dorsey had pressed him to take responsibility. Pollard was sentenced to 30 months in prison in a plea deal while Fedison's extensive criminal record garnered him a 20-year sentence.

Prosecutors made it clear that while Dorsey confessed to the crimes, he remained uncooperative, which comes as no surprise considering his words in the song "I Ain't Tellin'":

"I won't snitch, never tell, if the law comes and get me, I'm gonna sit my ass in jail."
