POLK CITY, Fla., July 12 (UPI) -- A woman with a "Pray for Death" tattoo on her forearm was strangled to death by her ex-boyfriend in Polk City, Fla., the Polk County Sheriff's Office said.
Patrick Wilkey, 21, was arrested Wednesday and charged with first-degree murder and theft for allegedly strangling his ex-girlfriend, Laura Hunt, 20, and stealing her sport utility vehicle, the Orlando (Fla.) Sentinel reported. Her body was found Tuesday afternoon; officials said the body was dumped near Interstate 4 between 18 to 24 hours earlier.
Hunt's mother identified Hunt by her tattoo and her naval ring after officials asked the public to help identify the body. Hunt's friend David Wheelus said Hunt got the "Pray for Death" tattoo for shock value. Wheelus said she planned to get a "Love For Life" tattoo on her other forearm.
Wilkey was held without bail in Polk County Jail as of Wednesday.
