ORLANDO, Fla., July 11 (UPI) -- A woman suing Casey Anthony, acquitted last year in her daughter's death, want to know if Anthony benefited from a charity set up by her parents.

Attorneys representing Zenaida Gonzalez, who accuses Anthony of defamation, asked the court to look into suggestions that Anthony's parents helped her out financially, the Orlando Sentinel reported Tuesday.

"Our sources have indicated that she has received money directly from her mother Cindy," Matt Morgan, one of Gonzalez's attorneys, told the Sentinel.

The filing is the latest request for information as the civil suit heads to a January court date. Gonzalez alleges Anthony defamed her when Anthony told investigators a similarly named nanny kidnapped 2-year-old Caylee Marie Anthony in 2008. Authorities say the nanny didn't exist.

The filing came after a People magazine article reported Dr. Phil McGraw, host of the syndicated "Dr. Phil" television show, donated $600,000 to the charity established by Anthony's parents in honor of Caylee Anthony.

Morgan said his firm hasn't independently confirmed that money transfers occurred, which is why they filed a request to the court for the information Tuesday.

"It's rumored that Dr. Phil made a generous contribution to the Caylee Marie Anthony trust fund and some of the proceeds" were given to Casey Anthony, Morgan said.
