White House says end Obamacare squabble

WASHINGTON, July 1 (UPI) -- President Obama's chief of staff said Sunday reviving the debate over healthcare reform would hand the U.S. business community a new dose of uncertainty.

Jack Lew said the political jousting over healthcare has been settled by the U.S. Supreme Court and the nation wants Washington to focus more on the economy rather than go another round over the merits of "Obamacare."

"I understand that there remains disagreement," Lew said on "Fox News Sunday."

"The question is if you want certainty, if want to tell the business community and individuals that we are going forward, you can calm things down and say we are going to give it a chance."

Lew said the administration would continue on the path of implementation of the legislation. "We're going to implement it," he said. "That is what we do in this country, once we have a law pass the Congress, once we have the Supreme Court uphold it."
