Woman arrested for stealing from an urn

NEW BRAUNFELS, Texas, June 29 (UPI) -- A New Braunfels, Texas, woman was arrested and charged with theft from a grave after she stole jewelry from an urn, police said.

Officers arrested Jennifer Ann Kinard Tuesday after nearly $26,000 in jewelry was reported missing, including three rings missing from an urn worth about $17,000, KGNB-AM. New Braunfels, reported. The police traced the missing property to Kinard and recovered most of the stolen jewelry.

Kinard, 39, posted a bond of $15,000 and was released from Comal County Jail. Police officials said Kinard could face additional charges.
