Apparent murder-suicide at Beverly Hilton

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif., June 23 (UPI) -- Police said Saturday they were investigating an apparent murder-suicide at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, Calif., ahead of the Daytime Emmy Awards.

Police discovered the bodies of an elderly man and woman inside a room at the hotel on Wilshire Boulevard at about 10:50 p.m. Friday, KABC-TV, Los Angeles, reported Saturday. The names of the victims were not released.

A Beverly Hilton spokesman told KABC-TV the 39th annual Daytime Emmy Awards show will go on as planned Saturday despite the police activity.
