Passenger tries to rush cockpit

MIAMI, May 25 (UPI) -- A man who tried to get into the cockpit of an American Airlines plane after it landed in Miami was arrested Friday, officials said.

No one was injured during the incident, WSVN-TV, Miami, reported. American Airlines Flight 320 from Montego Bay in Jamaica reached the gate without any more problems, officials said.

Witnesses said two passengers grabbed the man and held him until the plane was at the gate and law enforcement agents had arrived. He attempted to rush the cockpit after the plane touched down and was taxiing to the gate.

"We are aware of an incident on a plane in bound to MIA today [AA 320] in which a passenger reportedly rushed the cockpit door," the FBI said in a statement. "The FBI is investigating the alleged incident. Nevertheless the plane did land safely without damage to the plane or injuries."
