Officer Francisco Padilla said police observed Courtney rummaging through a backpack Tuesday night with a blue powder residue around his nostrils and upper lip.

Courtney, who was on probation for a drug offense, told police he had been "snorting Ajax" with a friend, Lt. Kurtis Skoog told the Independent Journal.

Police found what they suspect was crushed tablets of the prescription painkiller Oxycodone in Courtney's bag, as well as paraphernalia "associated with" drug use, Skoog said.
