2 small planes intercepted near G8

YORK, Pa., May 19 (UPI) -- Two small planes were intercepted after they strayed into air space around Camp David in Maryland, the North American Aerospace Command said.

The area around the presidential retreat is temporarily off limits because of the Group of Eight summit, The York (Pa.) Daily Record said.

Stacey Knott, a NORAD spokeswoman, said neither pilot was in touch with air traffic control. One landed at York Airport and the other in a Pennsylvania field.

Knott said NORAD makes several hundred interceptions a year.
