CHICAGO, May 16 (UPI) -- A newly married Chicago man was being sought in the death of his bride two days after their wedding, police in suburban Chicago said.

An arrest warrant for Arnoldo Jimenez, 30, was issued after Estrella Carrera, 26, was found stabbed to death still wearing her wedding dress in a bathtub in her south suburban Burbank apartment, the Chicago Tribune reported.

Investigators said Carrera was wearing the silver sequined cocktail dress that she wore during her wedding celebration Friday.

The couple had been married at Chicago City Hall and then spent the evening at a nightclub.

"This investigation is still ongoing and will continue until Mr. Jimenez is in custody for this brutal murder," Burbank police said in a release.

Jimenez was last seen driving a 2006 Maserati sedan.
