AUSTIN, Texas, May 15 (UPI) -- A second teacher at an Austin, Texas, elementary school is the subject of a child pornography investigation, police said.
To date no charges have been filed against Jason Whitson, 41, who has been teaching at Austin's Barrington Elementary School since 1997, the Austin American-Statesman reported.
News that Whitson was the subject of a federal probe came just days after another Barrington Elementary teacher, Bradford Grant Case, 57, was charged with felony possession of child pornography by the state of Texas.
Case resigned last week before charges against him were filed.
Investigators said they do not believe the two cases are related nor do they think students at Barrington Elementary were involved in either case.
School district detectives are directing all questions about Jason Whitson to the U.S. attorney's office where spokesman Daryl Fields has declined to comment.
