Two small bombs explode at Memphis school

MEMPHIS, May 3 (UPI) -- An assistant principal was treated for smoke inhalation after a pair of makeshift bombs exploded at a high school in Memphis, officials said.

The bombs, made with drain clog remover, went off Thursday on separate floors at Craigmont High School. Staci Franklin, a spokeswoman for Memphis schools, said it appears they were placed as a prank, CNN reported.

Franklin said the assistant principal's injuries were not believed to be serious

The federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives was assisting in the investigation, fire officials said.
