California shooter apologizes for deaths

DUBLIN, Calif., April 12 (UPI) -- One L. Goh, the alleged killer of seven people in a massacre at Oikos University in Oakland, Calif., said he is "sorry" for his actions.

"Families are so angry with me. If I tell them sorry, it doesn't bring anybody back," Goh told KPIX-TV, San Francisco, at Santa Rita Jail in Dublin. He added his lawyer advised him "not to talk, but I am sorry."

Although he did not enter a plea at his April 4 arraignment, he made no effort during the interview to dispute the allegation he was the person who shot 10 people on the campus of the small Christian college April 2, killing seven of them. It was the first time since the incident Goh had spoken to the media.
