NEW YORK, April 11 (UPI) -- "Little Dino" Saracino carried out two mob hits in what had been the bedroom he shared with his brother, prosecutors in a New York trial say.
Saracino, 39, and his alleged superior in the Colombo crime family, former street boss Thomas "Tommy Shots" Gioeli, 59, are charged with the 1995 killing of a Colombo associate, Richie Greaves, after a falling out and the 1999 slaying of William "Wild Bill" Cutolo, a Colombo underboss. Prosecutors say both victims were killed in The Dungeon, Saracino's former bedroom in his parents' Brooklyn home, the New York Post reported.
The house in Brooklyn had been converted to two apartments with Saracino's parents living upstairs. One witness testified Greaves was killed while the parents were on an Italian cruise.
David Gordon, a former Colombo associate turned informant, testified Tuesday Saracino did a complete renovation of the basement apartment a year after Cutolo's killing, the New York Daily News reported. He said walls and floors were replaced.
"That's the new tile when he did the basement over," Gordon said, pointing to an FBI photo of a floor.
Saracino's brother, Sebastiano, also grew up to become a mobster, prosecutors say.
