WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah, April 1 (UPI) -- The father of missing Utah mother Susan Cox Powell says his daughter is likely dead but he hopes her body can be found.
Powell disappeared in from her West Valley City home in December 2009 and her husband Josh killed himself and the couple's two young sons in a house explosion in Washington state in February.
The missing woman's father, Chuck Cox of Puyallup, Wash., told KSTU-TV, Salt Lake City, Saturday he doesn't want authorities to abandon the effort to find her and hopes information police gathered in an investigation into Josh Powell's father Steven will aid in the search.
Steven Powell is facing voyeurism and child pornography-related charges.
"I want them to keep looking," Cox said. "I want to look around here, I want to look down there [in Utah]. I want to look anywhere where Steve or Josh would have access. They've had two years to move the body. She could be anywhere."
Warrants in the Steven Powell case were unsealed Friday. They show police discovered Susan's blood on a tile floor of the couple's Utah home, and that Josh Powell had her cellphone in a car he rented days after her disappearance
Investigators also found a hand-written will attributed to Susan Powell in a safe deposit box in which she stated she didn't trust her husband and that he had vowed to "destroy her" if she left him.
