WASHINGTON, March 1 (UPI) -- The White House Thursday began selling lottery tickets and souvenir Easter eggs for the 2012 White House Easter Egg Roll.

This year's White House Easter Egg Roll will encourage children to lead healthy and active lives, in line with first lady Michelle Obama's "Let's Move!" initiative, a national campaign focused on solving the problem of childhood obesity within a generation.

Souvenir Easter eggs, sold through the National Park Foundation, include the stamped signatures of President Barack Obama, the first lady and Bo, the Obamas' dog.

Bo was also featured in a special video for the White House Easter Egg Roll this year.

Lottery tickets can be bought through Monday, with the winners being announced March 12.
