PORTLAND, Ore., Feb. 22 (UPI) -- Agents in Portland, Ore., raided the home of a blogger suspected of threatening Maricopa County, Ariz., Sheriff Joe Arpaio, the FBI and Arpaio said.

The Monday raid seized evidence from the home of Clifton Dawayne Brooks, 35, who was linked to a post on the blog TargetingCops.com that showed a picture of Arpaio and the words "Wanted: Dead or Alive" -- with "Dead" underlined and "Alive" crossed out -- The Arizona Republic reported Tuesday. The post included the line, "You're next Joe, watch your back, (expletive)."

Maricopa County sheriff's detectives earlier served a search warrant at Google's Mountain View, Calif., headquarters to determine the origin of the blog post, which led them to Brooks, the newspaper said.

FBI Special Agent James Turgal declined to provide details from the Oregon raid, but Arpaio said Brooks had "strange items" pinned to his walls.

"We take all of these threats very seriously, regardless of who or what agency it was toward," Turgal said, adding the investigation is ongoing.
