Ohio kidnap ends in murder-suicide

CLEVELAND, Feb. 19 (UPI) -- An apparent kidnapping in Cleveland turned into a murder-suicide investigation Sunday after police said they found three bodies in a garage.

The bodies of Latasha Jackson, 20, her 1-year-old daughter Chaniya Wynn, and her estranged boyfriend Thomas Lorde, 35, were discovered the day after Lorde allegedly abducted Jackson and her child off a street corner at gunpoint.

Police Sgt. Sammy Morris told the Cleveland Plain Dealer it appeared Lorde shot the pair and then himself.

Lorde, who hailed from New York City, was a registered sex offender convicted of assaulting a teenage girl in 1996.
