WEST PALM BEACH, Fla., Feb. 7 (UPI) -- An alleged West Palm Beach, Fla., pimp and prostitute face federal charges associated with sex trafficking a runaway minor, police said.

Rashad Emon Clark, 33, and one of his alleged prostitutes, Mandi Lynn Bowman, 22, face federal charges of sex trafficking a child and enticing a minor to engage in a commercial sex act, the South Florida Sun Sentinel reported Tuesday. If convicted, the two face the possibility of life in prison.

Clark and Bowman's alleged prostitution operation was discovered after police received a report Thursday of a missing 14- or 15-year-old girl. The girl's stepfather told police she was possibly involved in prostitution.

West Palm Beach police found the alleged victim by calling a number on an online escort advertisement matching a description of the girl, a federal arrest affidavit filed Monday said.

The girl told police Clark approached her after she ran away from home and lured her into prostitution, telling her "she had to choose money or friends," the affidavit said.

Clark allegedly took the girl to a hotel and had sex with her twice. He told Bowman teach the girl how to earn money for sexual favors.

"Bowman taught the juvenile how to set up and schedule appointments, and how to negotiate prices with johns," the affidavit said.

The girl had sex with one man and another man performed a sex act in her presence before police found her at the hotel.
