Father offers reward for daughter's return

ANCHORAGE, Alaska, Feb. 5 (UPI) -- The father of an abducted 18-year-old Alaskan woman said he is offering a reward for information leading to her safe return.

James Koenig is offering more than $12,500 for information that leads to his daughter Samantha coming home safely, the Anchorage Daily News reported.

"I want to ask my daughter's captors to please send her home," Koenig said Saturday. To the kidnappers, he said: "I will give you anything in this world. I will meet you, I will give you whatever you want. Just please bring my daughter back."

Samantha Koenig was working as a barista at an Anchorage coffee stand when she was abducted about 8 p.m. Wednesday.

Video surveillance shows a man wearing a dark, hooded sweatshirt walk up to the Common Grounds Coffee shack near the end of Koenig's shift.

The man somehow got inside the coffee stand, police said, and then forced the teen out. The two left the scene on foot.

Police said they had made no arrests.

"We've got everybody in, working on it," Detective David Cordie said. "All information that comes in, we have to look at."
