Inmate returns home to find burglar

HOLIDAY, Fla., Jan. 29 (UPI) -- A Florida man just released from jail went home only to catch a neighbor woman burglarizing his home, authorities say.

Shellie Leonard, 43, of Holiday allegedly first entered her neighbor's home Wednesday and stole craft supplies, a knife, a purse, 100 CDs and even a set of curtains, the Tampa Bay Times reported.

Then on Thursday, Leonard allegedly returned to steal a computer and electronics from her neighbor, who was incarcerated at the Pasco County jail on undisclosed charges.

While she was in the house, the neighbor, whose name was not released, returned home and caught Leonard red-handed, the Pasco County Sheriff's Office said.

Leonard was arrested at the scene and charged with two counts of burglary.
