Double homicide follows spouse swap

DOYLESTOWN, Pa., Jan. 28 (UPI) -- A Pennsylvania man was charged Friday with killing his estranged wife and her boyfriend after a spouse-swapping agreement went sour, prosecutors said.

Lloyd Hill, 41, of Haycock was arrested when police pulled his car over a few hours after the bodies of Frederick Tarantino and Stephanie Hill were discovered at their apartment in Nockamixon, a rural town on the Delaware River, The Morning Call of Allentown reported. He faces two counts of murder.

Bucks County District Attorney David Heckler alleged Lloyd Hill waited for Tarantino, 43, outside the apartment and then beat him to death with a baseball bat shortly after 5 a.m. Friday. He then allegedly stabbed Stephanie Hill, 36, inside the apartment, the prosecutor said.

Tarantino's wife Tara was living with Hill. Heckler said the two couples met at church and switched spouses about three years ago.

Terry Pursell Jr., who lives in the complex where the killings took place, said he found Frederick Tarantino's body as he returned from feeding his horses and then heard the Hills' daughter screaming that her mother had been stabbed.

"She was starting to groan and trying to talk, I thought she had a chance," said Pursell, who told the Call Stephanie Hill was still breathing when paramedics arrived.
