WASHINGTON, Jan. 24 (UPI) -- Warren Buffett's secretary and retired Navy Capt. Mark Kelley are among first lady Michelle Obama's guests Tuesday for the State of the Union address.

Debbie Bosanek, who has been investment guru Buffett's secretary for nearly 20 years, was invited to represent President Obama's "Buffett Rule" to address income inequality, the White House said in a statement. Buffett has said it's not right for his secretary to pay a greater portion of her income in taxes than the wealthiest Americans.

Kelley, an astronaut and combat pilot, is the husband of U.S. Rep Gabrielle Giffords, D-Ariz., who announced Sunday she will step down from Congress a year after she was shot in the head by a deranged assailant while holding a "Congress on your corner" event in Tucson.

Other guests of the first lady Tuesday included industry leaders, military personnel and government officials, the White House said.
