Shallow quake felt in northern California

SAN FRANCISCO, Dec. 8 (UPI) -- A 3.3-magnitude earthquake was reported Thursday near The Geysers geothermal plant in northern California, the U.S. Geological Survey said.

The shallow earthquake, with a depth of 1.9 miles, was about six miles from Cobb, seven miles from Anderson Springs, 25 miles from Santa Rosa and 74 miles from San Francisco's city hall, the Los Angeles Times reported.

A 3-magnitude earthquake was reported Monday two miles from Anderson Springs, USGS said. It was 1.2 miles deep.
