Missing musician's truck found in Texas

ATLANTA, Nov. 15 (UPI) -- A vehicle belonging to an Atlanta-area musician missing since August was found in a Walmart parking lot in Gainesville, Texas, Georgia investigators said.

Steven Marchi was last seen leaving his home in DeKalb County, Ga., Aug. 12, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported Tuesday. His dark green Dodge Ram pick-up truck was found last month in Texas but police said they weren't aware of the discovery until friends of the missing folk musician received a notice Saturday that the vehicle had been impounded.

Investigators say they're hoping Walmart's parking lot security tapes may provide some information.

Marchi was reported missing by friends Aug. 22. They say they don't think he left on his own because his cell phone and guitar were found in his townhouse.

"He was never without his guitar," his mother Ginger Marchi told the newspaper. She said she's worried his disappearance is linked to his side job as a dancer at a gay bar.
