Kory Jackson, Woods' attorney, requested the delay.

Police say Woods allegedly shot Chandler, whom he knew through drug dealing, in the head and neck last year in Cincinnati, the Los Angeles Times reported.

Chandler was paralyzed but was able to communicate with investigators and identify Woods by blinking his eyes. The exchange was captured on videotape, northwestohio.com reported.

Chandler died about two weeks after allegedly identifying Woods.
