ROLLING MEADOWS, Ill., Nov. 9 (UPI) -- A Chicago-area judge ordered a suburban woman held without bond Wednesday on charges she strangled her newborn after giving birth in a Salvation Army bathroom.

Prosecutors said Jessica Cruz, 19, of Hanover Park hid her pregnancy and then strangled the newborn with a garbage bag after giving birth Friday, leaving the infant's body in a trash bin.
