DENVER, Oct. 20 (UPI) -- Former President George W. Bush, during a Thursday visit to a Denver school, declined to comment on the reported death of Moammar Gadhafi.
"Post-presidency is an interesting period," Bush said. "I'm out of politics ... but I still have a great passion about educational excellence."
Bush also avoided talking about possible legislative changes to his administration's No Child Left Behind law, The Denver Post reported.
He visited with Denver Mayor Michael Hancock to discuss a recent partnership between the city's Get Smart Schools and the George W. Bush Institute's Alliance to Reform Education Leadership, based in Dallas.
"He's someone who has been there done that, so it was good just to get some ideas from him," Hancock said. "It was perfect timing for me to have the opportunity to hear what led him to create (the No Child Left Behind) legislation."
