Obama campaign office vandalized

LOS ANGELES, Sept. 23 (UPI) -- Someone shot BB-gun pellets into President Barack Obama's Westside Los Angeles campaign office Thursday night, a police spokeswoman said.

Sara Faden said police were alerted by someone "who reported hearing glass breaking and noticed that windows were broken," the Los Angeles Times reported.

In addition to the BB-pellets, an unidentified object was thrown into the office. It was not clear whether the incident was captured on video.

Police are investigating.

The incident comes just days before the president is due to visit Los Angeles to raise money for what is expected to be his 2012 re-election campaign, the Los Angeles Times reported.
