WASHINGTON, Sept. 21 (UPI) -- Sarah Palin says she is still considering a run for the U.S. White House next year.

The former Alaska governor has said she would make her decision by the end of the month and told Fox News Tuesday night that candidates "are still going to be coming and going because there is still time, and I'm still one of those still considering."

USA Today said a new survey found 72 percent of Republicans and independents who lean toward the GOP don't want Palin to run for president. The McClatchy-Marist poll said 68 percent of Tea Party supporters, who generally like Palin, said they don't want her to run.

The Sept. 13-14 survey of 1,042 adults had a margin of error of plus or minus 5.5 percentage points.
