WASHINGTON, Sept. 21 (UPI) -- U.S. President Barack Obama's popularity has slipped to its lowest level of his presidency, a poll indicates.
The poll, produced by Langer Research Associates, found that only 47 percent of Americans view the president favorably, down dramatically from the 79 percent favorability rating he received just days before taking office.
On the other hand, only 23 percent of those polled viewed Perry favorably while challenger Romney was viewed favorably by just 33 percent of Americans.
The poll found a large number of adults, 46 percent, have yet to form an opinion of Perry.
The same is true for Romney. Thirty-seven percent of those polled said they hadn't formed an opinion of the former governor.
The poll was conducted by telephone Sept. 14-18 among a random sample of 1,013 adults. It carries a margin of error of 3.5 percent.
