3 Pittsfield, Mass., men found dead

PITTSFIELD, Mass., Sept. 12 (UPI) -- Police in Pittsfield, Mass., Monday held three Hell's Angels members in the killings of three men who disappeared two weeks ago.

Police found a burial site Saturday containing the remains of David Glasser, 44, Edward S. Frampton, 58, and Robert T. Chadwell, 47, for whom police had been searching since the men disappeared Aug. 28, The Berkshire (Mass.) Eagle reported.

Adam Lee Hall, 34, David Chalue, 44, and Caius Veiovis, 31, were each charged with three counts of murder, three counts of kidnapping and three counts of intimidating a witness, Berkshire County District Attorney David Capeless said Sunday.

Chalue and Veiovis were arrested Saturday. Hall was arrested last week on unrelated child pornography charges.

Capeless said he suspects the motorcycle club members killed Glasser to keep him from testifying against Hall in an upcoming Berkshire Superior Court trial.

Frampton and Chadwell were in the wrong place at the wrong time, Capeless said.

Court records show on two occasions, Glasser voiced concern about his safety to police, requesting witness protection.

Police had taken "precautions that were in the [witness'] best interest and as they wished," Capeless said.

"This is the end of the search for those three unfortunate men, but it is now also the beginning of our efforts to bring to justice those who are responsible for their deaths -- for their families, their friends and for an entire community of law-abiding citizens," Capeless said.

Hall currently is awaiting trial on charges including armed robbery and extortion.
