WASHINGTON, July 1 (UPI) -- Republican Rep. Thaddeus McCotter of Michigan is expected to announce that he will run for president, The Hill reported.
An official within McCotter's campaign said the representative intended to file the necessary paperwork Friday and make the official announcement Saturday.
When he announces, McCotter will be the third current House member in the presidential race, joining Reps. Michele Bachmann of Minnesota and Ron Paul of Texas.
