Triple-murder suspect recaptured in Okla.

PURCELL, Okla., June 26 (UPI) -- Shaun Michael Bosse, a 28-year-old triple murder suspect who escaped from an Oklahoma jail Sunday, was recaptured 10 hours later, police said.

Bosse overpowered a guard at the McClain County jail in Purcell at about 10 a.m. Sunday. He locked the guard in a cell and then walked out of the jail without anyone stopping him, The Oklahoman reported. Bosse was gone for 30 minutes before the guard was able to alert anyone.

Bosse stole a jail employee's black 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix bearing a paper tag displaying "06/08/11," the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation said.

Law enforcement officers had Bosse back in custody by 8 p.m., Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation spokeswoman Jessica Brown told The Oklahoman, without providing further details. The stolen Pontiac was found at an apartment complex in Blanchard.

Bosse, who is white, 5 feet 10 inches tall, 215 pounds with green eyes, was being held in the July 23, 2010, killings of Katrina Griffin and her two children, Christian Griffin, 8, and Chasity Hammer, 6. They were found dead in their burned-out mobile home.

Bosse was arrested the next day and is charged with three counts of first-degree murder. Police found pawn tickets in his wallet for electronics that belonged to Griffin, and the items turned up his fingerprints.
