NEW YORK, June 18 (UPI) -- Tokyo-based Sega says it suspended access to its Sega Pass service after hackers broke into the system and swiped a number of user names and passwords.
No payment details were taken because Sega uses a third-party vendor, but some dates of birth were also lost.

Sega advised users who have the same passwords on other Internet to change them as quickly as possible.
Britain's The Daily Telegraph said Saturday the identities of the hackers were not known; however a crew calling itself LulzSec has recently claimed responsibility for intrusions on U.S. government systems and the Nintendo and Sony Playstation gaming services.
