PUNTA GORDA, Fla., June 13 (UPI) -- A Florida man suspected of hiding a video camera in a Starbucks bathroom was found dead in a hotel room Sunday, authorities said.
The Charlotte County Sheriff's Office said no foul play was suspected in the death of Eric Efaw, 44, of Riverview, whose body was discovered in Punta Gorda, the St. Petersburg Times reported.
Efaw had been arrested Wednesday and charged with voyeurism, the newspaper said. He was released from the Hillsborough County jail Thursday.
A manager at the Starbucks store in the Westfield Brandon mall last month discovered a camera in the unisex restroom and called authorities.The person responsible for placing the camera in the bathroom was seen on the video, as was his car's license plate.
Authorities allege Efaw admitted placing the camera in the coffee shop's bathroom several times in the past two months.
