SAN DIEGO, May 26 (UPI) -- Notes discovered along with the bodies of a San Diego mother and father and their two daughters indicate the parents planned a murder-suicide, police said.

The bodies of Alfredo, 44, and Georgina Pimienta, 38, and their daughters, Priscilla, 17, and Emily, 9, were found Tuesday in their home in the Paradise Hills neighborhood of San Diego, Lt. Ernest Herbert told the Los Angeles Times.

Police said notes found at the scene indicate the mother and father were involved. The notes touched on the family's financial difficulties and laid out plans and instructions for funerals and what should be done with their possessions.

Georgina Pimienta's body was found in a bathtub, while the bodies of Alfredo Pimienta and the two girls were found in the swimming pool.

The cause of death was not determined pending toxicology tests, the newspaper said.
