FAIRFIELD, Calif., May 7 (UPI) -- Gunfire in a home in Fairfield, Calif., home Saturday afternoon left a suspected gunman and two other people dead and a fourth injured, police said.
The names of the victims had not been released, The (Vacaville) Reporter said.
Fairfield police Sgt. Jeff Osgood officers were sent to the two-story residence at 12:08 p.m. after authorities received a call from someone inside who said people had been shot and the suspect was still there, the newspaper said.
Osgood said officers found a man and a woman who had been shot to death and two other people, including the suspected shooter, wounded.
The alleged gunman was flown to a hospital in critical condition and he died of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound, Osgood said. The other victim was hospitalized at another facility.
Osgood said all of the victims were believed to have lived at the residence but their relationships were not clear.
