WASHINGTON, April 25 (UPI) -- Children of all ages enjoyed mostly sunny skies as they milled about on the White House South Lawn for the annual Easter Egg Roll.

First lady Michelle Obama, the official hostess of the Easter Egg Roll, was introduced by President Barack Obama as someone who does not only "extraordinary work" but also is tasked with "keeping me in line."

The theme of this year's Easter Egg Roll is "Get Up and Go," the first lady said, because "as you know, I'm a big proponent of getting up and going, making sure we're moving and eating healthy."

Michelle Obama said this year's event reflects having healthy fun by offering activities such as the egg roll, dancing to performers such as Colbie Caillat, Greyson Chance and Willow Smith, yoga, an obstacle course, and courts for basketball and tennis.

Obama daughters Malia and Sasha took turns reading "Where the Wild Things Are" on the Storytime Stage. The president and first lady alternated reading "Chicka Chicka Boom Boom," which he said they read to their daughters when they were younger.

The president headed to the basketball court where he watched some children run drills with members of the Harlem Globetrotters. When Obama dribbled through a line of cones and sank a layup shot, he provided his own cheering section, shouting, "Ho! Ho! Oh!" as he moved.

Michelle Obama also tested her crepe-making skills when she visited a tent where celebrity chef Jacques Pepin and television personalities Al Roker and Kelly Ripa made crepes. Roker said the first lady "didn't actually make any" crepes but "flipped a couple."
