WASHINGTON, April 14 (UPI) -- Nearly two out of three voters don't think they'll see a balanced federal budget during their lifetime, a Rasmussen Report poll released Thursday indicated.

Only 9 percent of voters said they thought a balanced budget was "very likely" in their lives, while 64 percent said they are "unlikely" to see a balanced budget during their lives, the survey indicated.

Voters between the ages 18 and 29 expressed more skepticism about seeing a balanced federal budget than did those who were in older age brackets, Rasmussen Reports said.

Results are based on a nationwide telephone survey of 1,000 likely voters conducted Monday and Tuesday. The margin of error is 3 percentage points.
