CHARLESTON, S.C., April 9 (UPI) -- A bomb threat prompted the evacuation of three jetliners in Charleston, S.C., an airport spokeswoman said.

Charleston's WCSC-TV reported a local law enforcement agency received an unspecified threat against an aircraft at Charleston International Airport Friday evening, leading airport authorities to remove passengers from three Delta and United Express flights.

About 263 passengers in one concourse were re-screened and their bags were rechecked as a precaution, the TV station said. A trained police dog also was brought in to help in the investigation, which turned up no explosives.

The incident delayed the three flights for a couple of hours.
