GASTON, Ore., March 8 (UPI) -- A tractor-trailer rig hit a school bus near Gaston, Ore., Tuesday, sending the bus driver and nine students to the hospital with minor injuries, police said.
The Oregonian reported state police said the accident occurred about 7:40 a.m. on Oregon 47 while the bus was stopped with its warning lights on to pick up students.

The northbound truck came around a curve and the driver hit the brakes when he saw the southbound bus, causing the trailer to fishtail across the road, go into a ditch and then hit the front of the bus.
The truck driver was not injured.
The crash was being investigated.
