Guilty plea expected in molestation case

DETROIT, Feb. 28 (UPI) -- A Michigan man is expected to admit that he lured mothers into molesting their own children, a court document shows.

Steven Demink of Redford Township was scheduled to enter a guilty plea before Chief U.S. District Judge Gerald Rosen in Detroit, The Detroit News reported, citing a notice filed last week.

He could face 15 to 30 years in prison for conspiracy to sexually exploit children and five to 20 years for receiving child pornography, but it was not known which counts would apply in his plea.

Demink befriended women on Web sites for single parents, authorities charge. Under the name Dalton St. Clair, he portrayed himself as a father of a 14-year-old daughter and talked the women into assaulting their minor children, his indictment states. The abuse was photographed or streamed online.

Seven children of four mothers in Idaho, Virginia and Florida were found to have been abused, authorities said.
