BOCA RATON, Fla., Feb. 23 (UPI) -- A Michigan woman has filed a fraud suit in federal court against a South Florida company that sells energy bracelets on late-night television and the Internet.
Arjana Xexo charges she paid $19.90 plus $15.90 in shipping and handling charges for two iRenew bracelets that were advertised to improve her overall health and balance, the Palm Beach (Fla.) Post reported Wednesday.
IRenew President John Merritt of Boca Raton, who recently received an "F" rating from the Better Business Bureau, wasn't available to comment on the lawsuit.
Xexo's attorney has asked the court to permit him to sue iRenew on behalf of the hundreds of people who purchased energy bracelets.
He estimates damage at $5 million.
