NEW YORK, Feb. 14 (UPI) -- The mother of murdered Washington intern Chandra Levy said Monday she is still not 100 percent sure the right man was convicted.

Ingmar Guandique already was in prison for attacking two other women in Washington's Rock Creek Park, where Levy's remains were found, when he told a cellmate of killing her. He was convicted in November and sentenced to 60 years Friday.

At the sentencing hearing, Susan Levy confronted Guandique and asked him, "Did you really take her? Look into my eyes right now and tell me," she said on "The Early Show" on CBS in New York.

Guandique silently shook his head, he said.

Asked if she was certain the man was her daughter's killer, Levy said, "Well, to be honest, I always have that 5 percent not being sure. Ninety-five percent I like to believe that the Justice Department is accurate. But there is that 5 percent. But they proved in court. It's circumstantial. Not substantial, but circumstantial evidence that he was involved."

"There's no closure. That's for buildings," Susan Levy said. "You have a daughter that's tragically dead, there's never a sense of peace."
