FLINT, Mich., Jan. 12 (UPI) -- A judge in Michigan ruled Tuesday there is enough evidence to charge an alleged serial killer with stabbing a Flint man in July.
Elias Abuelazam, an Israeli Arab, was bound over for trial, charged with the murder of Darwin Marshall, the Detroit Free Press reported. Abuelazam was bound over Monday on a charge of assault with intent to kill for an attack in which the alleged victim survived.
Abuelazam is suspected of three killings and six assaults in the Flint area, with an attack on a church janitor in Toledo, Ohio, and other attacks in Leesburg, Va.
At Tuesday's hearing, Shomari Williams testified she and Marshall had been doing drugs when they were approached by a man in a pickup truck. Williams said the man approached Marshall and she later saw Marshall on the ground shaking as the pickup truck drove away.
She said she ran away.
"I got scared," Williams said. "I thought he was going to come after me."
