Casey Anthony defense: Keep sex life out

ORLANDO, Fla., Dec. 22 (UPI) -- Lawyers for a Florida woman accused of killing her 2-year-old daughter have asked a judge to block evidence about her sexual history.

In a motion filed Tuesday, Casey Anthony's defense team cited two men who were questioned in detail about their relationships with her, the Orlando (Fla.) Sentinel reported. The report said Detective Yuri Melich asked one man if Anthony was "real clingy" after sex or was it "OK, we're done, I'm going home."

Caylee Marie Anthony disappeared in June 2008. Her mother, who told police she had left her daughter in the care of a babysitter, became a suspect long before Caylee's body was found in a swampy area near her grandparents' home.

Anthony, who could face the death penalty, is scheduled to go on trial in May.

Lawyers Cheney Mason and Jose Baez argue Anthony's sex life is irrelevant to the charges against her. They filed a series of similar motions about statements from her father, George Anthony, that she had a history of lying and stealing, that she borrowed a shovel from a neighbor and that a man from a Texas search company believes Anthony on several occasions came close to showing him where her daughter's body was located.
