Man charged with kidnapping prostitute

CINCINNATI, Nov. 30 (UPI) -- An admitted prostitute in Cincinnati says she was held for 10 days by a white supremacist and repeatedly raped.

William Hobert Manis, 44, of Hamilton, Ohio, was charged with kidnapping and 18 counts of rape Monday, the Cincinnati Enquirer reported.

Hamilton police say they have evidence corroborating the alleged victim's story that she spent days confined in a closet.

Manis reportedly has ties to the Aryan Nations.

The woman, 22, said Manis lectured her about politics. He also allegedly told her he had been hired to find women to be used as sex slaves.

"He would let me out only when he wanted to talk to me, rape me, feed me or bathe me," the woman told The Enquirer.

Mike Hamilton of Milford, who is trying to raise money for Manis's bail, said he and other friends would have known if Manis had been imprisoning someone. But the alleged victims says she was hogtied when people came over.

She eventually escaped in handcuffs when Manis forgot to nail the closet door shut, police said.

The woman, who said thinking about her two children kept her going through the ordeal, told the Enquirer she is "done with" prostitution.
