CHICAGO, Nov. 28 (UPI) -- A person of interest was being questioned in the deaths of a Chicago police officer and a former Chicago Housing Authority officer, sources said.

Law enforcement sources told the Chicago Tribune the 19-year-old parolee lives in the immediate neighborhood where Officer Michael Flisk and former CHA officer Stephen Peters were shot Friday as they investigated the burglary of Peters' car.

The teenager was picked up hours after police Superintendent Jody Weiss told the media the investigation was making little progress, the Tribune reported Sunday.

Flisk was the second Chicago police officer killed last week. Off-duty SWAT Officer David Blake was found dead in his sport utility vehicle Monday. No arrests had been made.

Five officers have been killed in the Windy City in the past six months.
